If we were to say that for one day you could have a festival experience like Bisco or Big Dub right here in Philly, you’d most likely think we’ve been dipping a little too much into the sauce. But if you’ve been to the “One Art Community Center” then you probably already know. If so, then you are without a doubt going to want to head back this Saturday for A Good Gathering – organized by Aspire Higher – and if not, then this is your chance to experience the relaxed vibes, electrifying music, live entertainment, bucolic scenery, and spacious atmosphere of this artistically inspired venue.

We’ve been talking with our friends at Aspire Higher and, according to them, they’re pulling out all the stops for this one—including:

~ live painters

~ concessions

~ merchandise vendors

~ fire performers,

~ live glass blowers

~ plenty of art installations

~ and much, much, MUCH more

Next on the list is something we are very eager to tell you about… We were informed by one of the co-owners at Aspire Higher that the production is sure to blow minds, eyes, and ears with the very same sound system used at the Camp Bisco (Office Stage) earlier this month, as well as 3 full pitch festival-grade lasers. Which, frankly, is pretty damn cool. That is not to even mention the musical talent they’ve convened for this festive occasion. In fact, to be totally honest, it may be more apt to describe this as a single-day music and arts festival.

But of course, here at House of Hearts we are first and foremost about the music. Although there have been other events at One Art to feature electronic music artists, this is going to be the (self-described) first purely bass music event held at this location. But even so, the lineup is nevertheless stacked with artists of a variety of different sounds and musical backgrounds. Included among them are Moody Good, Conrank, & RUN DMT. Check out the link below for more information and links to SoundCloud.

And in case you are wondering – we know you are -- Aspire Higher has told us that the time slots are being dropped this Friday at noon!!

Having said all of that—we would be remiss not to hype you up for the big attractions without leaving you with the nitty gritty details. The event is 18+ but 21+ to BYOB. Early Bird and Tier 1 tickets have (sadly) already sold out; however Tier 2 tickets can be bought online (and with NO service fee!!). Hardcopies are available upon request; simply send a message to the Aspire Higher Facebook page with your ticket request.

Oh, and just so you know… Mother Nature must be on our side because the forecast for this Saturday calls for sun and a lovely 85°. So get there early to enjoy the full festival experience!

Sitting tucked in an open courtyard between two West Philly streets, you might not even tell it’s there, but walk through the narrow entrance and you’re teleported to a whole new realm… The One Art Community Center has a wide-open, bucolic sensation typical of most camping festival-grounds, and from what it sounds like, Aspire Higher will be taking full advantage of that this Saturday for A Good Gathering. Prepare to lose your mind to the music, or get lost in the art, but remember to bring your hat pins and heady festie gear with you because there’s about to be a little piece of Bisco right here in Philadelphia.
