Sitting in a small café in North Philly, Michael Berry and myself recollect how he began his music career. Michael Berry’s first gig was at a hookah lounge in West Chester for $50 a night.
“I started making ambient music and then my feelings changed more towards Electronica.” Michael had no idea how Tchami came about playing his I Don’t Fuck With You Remix.
“It just happened!” Berry began laughing again. “Vine and Facebook messages just came through that it happened.”
Berry believes that Future House is going to keep splitting off with other genres in Deep House, G-House, Tropical House, & Trap. “People are going to be creative now that Future House is very apparent in the mainstream.”
When asked what other projects Berry is working on he replied: My younger brother is a singer/guitarist and I am working on something with him on the side.” And as far as another project coming out under the Michael Berry name, you can expect something in another month.
