Even though it rained, spirits were not dampened for Pretty Lights on Halloween. Music played for six hours, with Daily Bread, Goldroom, Chali 2Na, Matoma, and Pretty Lights providing the sounds. The Ascend Amphitheater provided the visuals, with the downtown Nashville skyline visible in one direction, and the lit up Korean Veterans bridge in the other. Even the rain even helped out. When the lights illuminated the rain, it looked like glitter was falling from the sky.
Pretty Lights played a wide ranging set that included songs new and old, and a few outside the electronic music genre. Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, and Radiohead tunes being the notable ones. Arguably his biggest hit, “Finally Moving,” was the finale, which was an incredible end to an incredible Halloween night.
